TORONTO — sbe is bringing New York’s iconic Hudson Hotel to Toronto, marking the brand’s first international location and that start of its global expansion.
Set to debut in 2024, the proposed 75,000 square-foot Hudson Toronto will offer 146 rooms, a rooftop restaurant, a three-meal signature restaurant, and an expansive bar and café.
Launched in partnership with Lamb Development Corp and IE Hospitality, Hudson Toronto will be situated in the heart of Toronto’s King West neighbourhood, surrounded by nightlife, entertainment and restaurants. It will sit adjacent to St. Andrews Park, which may be expanded into a giant green space and urban playground based on potential city plans.
Said Brad J. Lamb, founder of Lamb Development Corp: “This hotel is going to be fantastic; architecturally it is stunning. It is a 146-room standalone hotel [with] no condos, so we will be focused 100% on hotel guests. Our rooftop bar/restaurant overlooks the park and the skyline. It’s going to be a hot ticket.”
The Hudson is part of sbe’s collection of luxury boutique hotels, the House of Originals, which consists of properties that have set a standard for hospitality and experience. Other House of Originals properties include the Sanderson and St. Martins Lane in London, 10 Karaköy in Istanbul, and the Shore Club in Miami Beach.
