Sandals Resorts unveils newly renovated Sandals South Coast in Jamaica

MONTEGO BAY — Following a multi-million dollar renovation, Sandals South Coast has relaunched in Jamaica, featuring Sandals’ first ever over-the-water bar called Latitudes.

Formerly known as Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa, the totally reimagined Luxury Included resort unveiled recent upgrades that incorporate the natural beauty of Jamaica’s South Coast region.

In addition to Latitudes, where guests can enjoy cocktails in hammocks suspended above the Caribbean Sea, renovations also include a floating, ocean-based swim-up bar called Bar-Tender, an over-the-water wedding chapel with 360-degree water views and a glass floor aisle, as well as upgrades to the resort’s existing five restaurants. Guests can also enjoy four new 5-Star Global Gourmet dining options: Sushi on the Sand; Beach Picnic, an option for Butler guests to have a romantic picnic on the beach; Jerk Shack, an open-air seating option; and Schooner’s, which serves Caribbean fare.

All accommodations at Sandals South Coast are ocean facing. The Italian Riviera, formerly known as the Italian Village, which was completed earlier this month, houses 112 rooms and suites. Room categories include:

Italian Beachfront Club Level Junior Suite: newly renovated beachfront rooms featuring private balconies, ocean views, upgraded furnishings, walk-in rain shower and a dedicated concierge
Italian Honeymoon Beachfront Room: newly renovated beachfront rooms featuring custom crafted furnishing, four-poster king-size bed, large smart TV, luxury bathroom, and balcony or patio
