NASSAU — Construction on a new Sandals Resorts property in the Mayan Riviera could start as early as the end of this year, and a second Mexico property in Cabo San Lucas may also be in the works.
Sandals Chairman Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart and CEO Adam Stewart were both in attendance at the recent Caribbean Travel Marketplace in the Bahamas.
According to reports, the Mayan Riviera resort will be a low-density new-build property.
In the past both Stewarts have said they’re interested in adding resorts in French, Dutch and/or the Spanish Caribbean.
