TORONTO — Music star Sam Smith took to the stage at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto last Friday night, and members of the Air Canada team along with several of the airline’s travel industry partners were there to see the show.
The event was a partner appreciation night, hosted by Air Canada.
Among the guests were members of the Discover America Canada board, and Travelweek.
Air Canada’s Timothy Liu, who serves as Managing Director, Sales Planning & Effectiveness for the airline co-hosted the group, along with Audrey Tanguay Beaudette, Air Canada’s Manager, Global Sales and Tourism Partnerships.
The Golden Globe and Oscar-winning Smith, along with special guest Jessie Reyez, wowed the crowd with ‘GLORIA The Tour’, says Travelweek’s VP & Media Content Strategy, Annie Cicvaric, who was in attendance for the event. It was Smith’s first North American run since 2018. The concert “promoted diversity and freedom throughout the evening to a highly-energetic crowd of 14,000,” said Cicvaric.
