TORONTO — No city wants to be tops on this travel list. But according to readers of Travel & Leisure magazine, Miami is now the number one rudest city in the U.S.

New York City, long perceived as the least polite city in America, actually fell to the number three spot. Phoenix was voted the second-rudest city in the U.S., and L.A. the fourth. The top 10 were: Miami, Phoenix, New York City, L.A., Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, Boston, Dallas, Colorado Springs and Ann Arbor, MI.

The top two friendliest cities were in Texas: San Antonio and Austin. Madison, WI got the nod for the third friendliest city.
