HONG KONG — Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is heading to Exuma in the Bahamas, the latest addition to its growing Caribbean portfolio.
Opening in 2028, Rosewood Exuma will be situated on a 124-acre private island known as East Sampson Cay, offering just 33 suites that all boast dramatic views of pink and white sands. Combining both ultra-luxury and adventure travel, the resort will offer a wide range of amenities based on Rosewood’s ‘A Sense of Place’ philosophy, from six food and beverage outlets that incorporate ingredients from the resort’s organic garden, to an outdoor sports centre featuring tennis, padel and pickleball courts.
Other top-selling points include Rosewood’s signature Asaya spa concept, spanning20,000 square feet and featuring six treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy facility, an outdoor pool and fitness centre. Also notable is a fully-serviced beach club featuring a grill restaurant, beach and pool bars and a private dining room. Two marinas with slips are being planned to accommodate yachts up to 150 feet, encouraging those travelling around the nearby islands to enjoy the resort’s beach club and dining outlets.
In addition to the beach club pool, Rosewood Exuma will offer two other pools exclusively for overnight guests, including one dedicated to families. Young guests will also enjoy Rosewood Explorers, the brand’s signature children’s club concept.
Sustainability will be top of mind throughout the development of Rosewood Exuma. On the island, just 25% of the 124 acres will be developed, and initiatives such as solar powered energy sources will be implemented to minimize impact to the island. The resort will also be designed to blend into the natural island landscape.
