VANCOUVER — Voyascape, the Canadian travel media company that’s behind the podcast ‘Travel in 10’, has announced the launch of the Voyascape Podcast Network.
Voyascape’s David Brodie and Tim Johnson said the network “delivers fresh, engaging audio content designed to inspire travellers and provide practical advice.”
Since the relaunch of Voyascape’s flagship show, ‘Travel in 10’, in July 2024, the podcast has become Canada’s #1 travel podcast on Apple Podcasts, as well as ranking #14 in the U.S. and #3 in the UAE.
Billed as ‘Your 10 minute window on the world’, the Travel in 10 podcast features 10-minute episodes that offer quick guides to must-see destinations, including information on where to stay and what to do. The podcast has been a trusted resource for travellers since 2005, said Brodie and Johnson.
In addition to the long-running ‘Travel in 10’ (with season 11 currently in recording), Voyascape has several new podcast series in development, including a conversation-style podcast with travel influencers, authors and celebrities called Journeytelling (coming in fall 2024), Flavours Without Borders (launching in 2025) and sleep-story podcast Dreamescapes (late 2024).
Brodie and Johnson, two Canadian travel and media industry veterans, say they founded Voyascape to create a unique, audio-first approach to travel storytelling that resonates with both Canadian and global audiences. Voyascape also collaborates with independent Canadian and global podcasters.
Brodie is a PR and communications expert who has led campaigns for major travel brands like Tourism Australia and Emirates. He’s traveled to 50+ countries and lived in Japan, the U.S. and Canada. Johnson meanwhile is an award-winning travel writer who has visited 150+ countries and contributed to publications from CNN Travel to The Globe & Mail.
“We’re excited to launch Voyascape from Canada and share travel stories that resonate with both Canadian travelers and a global audience,” said Brodie, Voyascape’s founder and CEO. “Our podcast network offers not just inspiration, but practical advice for those planning their next adventure.”
Johnson, Voyascape’s Chief Global Content Officer, added: “We want to take listeners on a journey, to place them right there in the destination, experiencing the place – the sights, the sounds – before they even arrive. Podcasts are perfect for bringing travel stories to life. And we’re so proud to give listeners a Canadian perspective on global travel content.”
Voyascapes podcasts can be found on Apple Podcast, Spotify, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio and at Voyascape.com.
