Trevello World Holdings Inc. acquires NC-based Gifted Travel Network

TORONTO — Trevello World Holdings Inc. is making good on its U.S. expansion goals.

The parent company of Trevello Canada has acquired the NC-based host agency (and luxury specialist) Gifted Travel Network (GTN).

This deal marks the first step in Trevello’s strategic plan to expand beyond Canada and establish a foothold in the U.S. market, says Trevello World Holdings Inc. founder and CEO Morris Chia.

“This is a pivotal moment for Trevello as we bring our proven expertise and commitment to advisor success into the world’s largest travel market,” says Chia. “GTN’s stellar reputation in the luxury sector and dedication to fostering a collaborative, entrepreneurial community make them the perfect partner to help accelerate our growth strategy.”

GTN STILL OPERATING AS ITS OWN BRAND

Trevello first unveiled its U.S. expansion goals in July 2024 and built on the announcement with a Toronto event in November 2024 showcasing its new Momentum program.

Chia says the GTN acquisition immediately establishes Trevello’s presence in the U.S. market, enabling the company to leverage its reputation for excellence and scale to compete in new sectors.

GTN will continue to operate under its brand as a division of Trevello World Holdings.

Jen Cochrane, co-founder and CEO of GTN, says: “GTN’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence align seamlessly with Trevello’s vision for empowering advisors and delivering exceptional travel experiences. This collaboration strengthens the foundations we’ve each built, and together, we’ll continue driving forward as a transformative force in the future of the travel industry.”

CRABILL NO LONGER WITH TWH

Chia is overseeing Trevello’s expansion into the U.S. market, supported by Trevello World Holding’s co-founder and COO Zeina Gedeon, who currently leads operations for Trevello Canada.

Elizabeth Crabill, whose appointment as CEO, Trevello World Holdings was announced last summer as part of the U.S. expansion plans, is no longer with TWH, as Gedeon confirmed to Travelweek. Crabill, who was CEO of CIE Tours for a number of years, was with TWH from July – October 2024.

Cochrane will remain as CEO of GTN, and Cochrane and Meredith Calloway will become shareholders in Trevello World Holdings.

“We are committed to developing a sustainable and rewarding future for travel advisors. With the acquisition of GTN we are taking the first step forward in starting to reimagine what success looks like in this industry,” said Chia.
