ALEXANDRIA, VA — Travel Leaders Network (TLN) toasted to the success of its members while on its annual Elite event, held this year aboard Princess Cruises’ Diamond Princess.
The cruise, which sailed through Japan and South Korea, welcomed the company’s highest-performing Affiliate members in the United States and Canada. This year, 24 members and their guests joined TLN executives and supplier partners aboard the Diamond Princess, which sailed to and from Yokohama with stops at Nagasaki, Kagoshima and Shimizu in Japan, and Jeju in South Korea.
“We opted for Asia this year because it is a popular travel destination that many travel advisors might not have considered for cruising,” said Roger R. Block, President, Travel Leaders Network. “But a cruise is a great way to see many areas of Japan as well as South Korea, and it’s an experience our top-producing members can immediately share with their clients.”
Members on board the ship were treated to a variety of cultural, culinary and nature experiences at ports of call. They also participated in business meetings to learn about TLN’s future offerings and supplier updates.
“It’s a joy to spend time with these members,” added Block. “It’s a time to recognize success and start laying the groundwork for the future. Valuable connections were made, new insights gained and plenty of fun was had at Elite.”
Block extended his gratitude to Princess Cruises for hosting the trip, the staff of the Diamond Princess, and the Japan National Tourism Organization for custom-tailoring shore excursions.
“We all came home invigorated and eager to tell our travellers, employees and ICs about the greatness of cruising Japan,” said Block.
