In an effort to inspire and educate Canadian travel agents, Asia Now – a group of national tourism bodies for Korea, Philippines, Singapore, and Taiwan – has launched a first-of-its-kind series of Virtual FAMs to push international travel across its 4 different countries. Hosted on Facebook Live, this campaign is designed to inspire awareness and consideration of the partnered countries, through highlighting unique experiences, customized itineraries and interactive video footage.
On Thursday, Nov. 18 the Philippines Department of Tourism will host Asia Now’s third Virtual FAM Tour.
The Philippines, a country of islands, is popular for its water and land activities. Checking out the surfing and scuba diving is a must – and for those who want to take in the rich land with its verdant landscape, don’t miss all of the islands’ lavish forests, beaches and tropical hotspots. And if not for the land and sea itself, visit the Philippines for its overwhelmingly welcoming locals who’ll make your vacation even more pleasant.
Boasting one of the longest coastlines in Asia, the Philippines is also known for its serene beaches and crystal clear waters.
Explored in the third Asia Now Virtual FAM Tour will be the renowned island of Siargao, a teardrop-shaped small island located at the northeastern coast of Mindanao, also known as the Surfing Capital of the Philippines. In 2019, Siargao was named by Conde Nast Traveler readers as the Best Island in the World as well as the Best Island in Asia in 2021. Apart from surfing, Siargao is also open to other activities such as cave explorations and rock climbing.
The live tour will take place Thursday, Nov. 18 starting at 6 p.m. PST / 9 p.m. EST.
