WHITE PLAINS — Rail Europe has launched a new agent incentive that includes a chance to win an all-expense paid fam to Switzerland.
Done in partnership with Switzerland Tourism and the Swiss Travel System, the Swiss Travel Pass Superstar Agent Incentive is designed to boost agent sales of Swiss travel products, including the Swiss Travel Pass, by improving and testing their knowledge.
Agents simply register to participate for a chance to win the fam and other prizes. The more participating Swiss products agents sell, the more points they earn toward the trip.
This is the first year the incentive is running in Canada. Registration is now open, with the program running from May 1 through July 31, 2019.
HOW IT WORKS:
Agents are invited to take monthly quizzes made up to 20 questions to test their knowledge of Swiss products, Rail Europe and Bucherer watches. Each month, three top scorers from among those who score at least an 80%, or have 16 correct answers, win either a first prize of one Bucherer watch, a second prize of one Fondue set and a Fondue cookbook, or a third prize of one bamboo cheese board.
THE FAM TRIP:
Agents who wish to be considered for the fam will need to take all three monthly quizzes. Moreover, for every month of the program they’ll need to submit their ticket sales of participating Swiss Travel System products for validation. These include the Swiss Travel Pass/Swiss Travel Pass Flex, Swiss Travel pass e-ticket, Swiss Point-to-Point tickets, and Mountaintop excursions.
Six SuperStars from Canada and six from the U.S. will win the grand prize of a five-night, all-expenses paid trip to Switzerland in early December 2019 to celebrate with other Swiss Travel Pass SuperStars from around the world. SuperStar winners are chosen based on a combination of most quiz points and product sales during the promotion period.
Points are accrued in various ways:
- The quiz score each month equals the points earned for that quiz
- Sales of Swiss products earn points, pending validation
- Mountaintop excursion sales earn bonus points
- Agents who register early, between April 15-30, earn bonus points
Rail Europe’s Swiss Travel Pass offers unlimited train, bus and boat travel on the Swiss Travel System countrywide. Passengers can choose to travel on flexible and consecutive days with 3, 4, 8 or 15-day passes. Entrance to more than 500 museums and city transportation are also included with the pass, while children under 16 travel for free with a parent or legal guardian. If children under 16 travel without a parent, they pay 50% off adult fares.
