TORONTO — The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) is shaking and stirring things up by hosting private screenings of the James Bond feature film, ‘No Time to Die,’ and travel agents across Canada are invited.
The film will play at select Cineplex theatres in Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec and Ontario, starting in Winnipeg on May 4 and wrapping up in Barrie on June 2022. The screening events, titled ‘An Evening With Jamaica,’ also includes a destination update from the JTB.
According to ‘Variety,’ no other film franchise inspires travel the way the James Bond series has for the past 60 years. Ian Fleming wrote the first 007 novel, ‘Casino Royale,’ at his Jamaican villa GoldenEye in Oracabessa Bay, and throughout the years the island has been featured in several iconic scenes in various 007 films like ‘Dr. No,’ ‘Live and Let Die’ and now ‘No Time to Die.’
