TORONTO — The Jamaica Tourist Board is doubling down on its commitment to Canadian travel agents with a free ‘Business Building Workshop’ series taking place this month.
Hosted by Destination Jamaica and launched in partnership with ACTA, the workshop will take place from May 9-11 and comprise three hour-long virtual professional development sessions with travel industry expert and TV host Sandra McLemore.
Each session is designed to provide travel agents with actionable tactics on how to streamline their business operations, attract new clients and increase revenue. Participating agents will also be invited to enter a daily prize giveaway for a chance to win an all-inclusive, three-night stay for two at one of three partnering hotels: Royalton Negril Resort, DeCameron Club Caribbean, and Secrets St. James Resort.
“At the Jamaica Tourist Board, we strongly believe in supporting our Canadian travel partners by investing directly in their business,” says Angella Bennett, JTB Regional Director, Canada. “While we celebrate agents year-round, we are proud to host this expert-led workshop series and prize giveaway in honour of Travel Advisor Day this month. We hope the seminars provide agents with the practical strategies and take-home tools they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive market.”
Workshops will be catered to travel agents of all experience levels, with relevant coaching advice applicable to both independent entrepreneurs and individuals working as part of a larger agency. Workshops will be administered in English and are free to attend. Each session will conclude with a Q&A period. Presentation slides will be available for registrants to view and download for a limited period following each virtual event.
