OTTAWA — Global Affairs Canada will be hosting free virtual information sessions that will give Canadians a better understanding of how to travel safely and responsibly abroad.
Each session will provide an overview of various tools and services that Canadians can make use of prior to and during their trip, including information on how to access the government’s official advice and advisories.
Session dates are as follows:
- Wednesday, July 26, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET (English)
- Wednesday, July 26, 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET (French)
- Wednesday, Aug. 2, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET (French)
- Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET (English)
Travel agents and travel industry professionals can rsvp for a session by emailing outreach.sensibilisation@international.gc.ca.
In the meantime, travellers can visit Travel.gc.ca for useful information to help them prepare for their journeys abroad. They can also subscribing to our daily updates on Government of Canada’s travel advice and advisories. Subscribing will keep them up to date on safety and security conditions for over 230 destinations worldwide.
