TORONTO — Travel agents can get to know all the ins and outs of Costa Rica with a new specialist program hosted on Travelweek’s Learning Centre.

As an added incentive, agents who complete the online course before January 2021 and become a Costa Rica Specialist will be entered into a draw for a US$300 gift card at localkeeps.com.

Specifically designed for Canadian agents, the program provides a general overview of the country’s attractions, climate, geography and more. Agents will learn about its different regions, its many national parks and its incredible natural beauty. Costa Rica boasts 1,228 kilometres of coastline and comprises 5% of the world’s biodiversity.

Other highlights of the program include various itinerary options for different group types, including adventure, beach, wellness, romance and family, the latest COVID-19 protocols, Costa Rica’s most popular activities and how the country is leading the way in sustainable tourism.
