Regent’s new Seven Seas Splendor now open for bookings

MIAMI — Books are now open for Seven Seas Splendor, Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ newest ship, launching in February 2020.

With 750 guests, the all-suite, all-balcony ship will join sister ship Seven Seas Explorer in boasting some of the highest space ration in the cruise industry. Its first voyage, which departs Feb. 7, 2020, will be part of an inaugural season that features a variety of itineraries calling throughout the Caribbean, North America and the Mediterranean. Ports of call include San Juan, Barcelona, Cabo San Lucas, New York, Saint-Tropez, Portofino, Los Angeles, Dubrovnik, Amalfi/Positano, Corfu and Cartagena.

“For Seven Seas Splendor’s inaugural season, we included voyages to destinations that are as extraordinary as the ship herself,” said Jason Montague, president and chief executive officer of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “Based on guest response to our current itineraries through the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and North America, we anticipate these new offerings will be popular among both new and repeat guests wanting the exclusive opportunity to be one of the first to sail on the newest luxury ship in our fleet.”

Panama Canal & Caribbean journeys

After its first transatlantic voyage on Feb. 7, Seven Seas Splendor will cross the Panama Canal on its way from Miami to Los Angeles on Feb. 25, 2020, calling on places like Cartagena and anchoring along the coastline of Cabo San Lucas. Guests can then c traverse the canal west to east, sailing from L.A. to Miami on March 14 and calling on Catalina Island, Acapulco and Puntarenas over 16 nights.

North America & Atlantic crossings

Back on the Atlantic Coast, the ship will embark on a spring sojourn between Miami and New York on April 1, with overnight calls on Oranjestad, Aruba and Charleston, South Carolina before arriving in New York. From there, it will sail towards Barcelona, departing April 16 for 14 nights.

Mediterranean journeys

Beginning April 30, Seven Seas Splendor will begin its inaugural Mediterranean season with the distinct advantage of being small enough to reach the region’s most intimate, boutique ports, like Palamos, Toulon and Kotor. The first Mediterranean voyage is a 12-night cruise from Barcelona that culminates with an overnight stay in Venice. The ship will then ring in the summer with a 12-night journey on June 4, calling on Jerusalem and Rhodes, followed by two more 10-night voyages from Ibiza to Rome on June 16 and 26, 2020.
