TORONTO — Railbookers is heading on an epic journey around the world with a brand new, first-of-its-kind rail itinerary departing in 2024.
Beginning in Vancouver, the 80-day ‘Around the World by Luxury Train’ journey features trips aboard world-renowned trains like Rovos Rail in South Africa, the Maharajas’ Express through India, Singapore’s Eastern & Oriental Express, Canada’s Rocky Mountaineer, as well as classic European rail including the Golden Eagle Danube Express, Belmond Royal Scotsman, and the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.
From Vancouver, guests will then travel to European capitals and charming cities like Budapest, Edinburgh, Florence, London, Paris, Rome and Venice. Air connections will also allow them to discover Delhi, Mumbai and Istanbul in Asia, as well as Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa. The journey wraps up in Southeast Asia to explore Singapore and Malaysia. In between train journeys, guests will be treated to luxurious hotel accommodations.
While the trip is inclusive of private ground transfers at destinations, as well as all sightseeing and listed activities, travellers will need to make their own international air travel arrangements.
“The demand for luxury rail from our customers continues to grow, and in response, we’ve created the ultimate bucket-list trip,” said Railbookers’ President and CEO, Frank Marini. “As we’ve seen a trend to combine itineraries to include multiple luxury trains, we’ve tailor-made this itinerary along with smaller, customizable itineraries featuring these iconic trains as a highlight of our industry-leading luxury ail collection. Best of all, once the train ride is through, Railbookers takes care of hotel, sightseeing, transfers and more at the destination for a complete one-call solution.
“We’re thrilled to give our travel advisors and guests an opportunity to see the world right outside their window in total luxury.”
The 2024 ‘Around the World by Luxury Train’ journey comes on the heels of Railbookers’ successful ‘Around the World by Rail’ vacation in 2019.
For travellers looking for a shorter rail vacation, Railbookers offers all of the individual train journeys as part of its more than 6,000 available itineraries throughout the world.
