TORONTO — Railbookers Group (RBG) has responded to unprecedented demand and sales in Canada by adding new members to its Canada-based staff.
Ivan Mansanet, who is based in British Columbia, recently joined RBG in the newly-created role of National Sales Manager for Canada. Aesha King, meanwhile, has been appointed Partnership Marketing Coordinator.
On Mansanet’s new appointment, Cris David, Vice President of Global Sales, said: “We are excited to welcome Ivan as the latest addition to the Railbookers global sales team. He comes to us with a wealth of experience supporting travel agencies and advisors in all parts of Canada. As the National Sales Manager responsible for increasing brand awareness and growing sales in the Canadian market, we could not have hoped for a more well-liked and widely respected travel professional than Ivan.”
Mansanet added: “I am very much looking forward to this new adventure at Railbookers. I can’t wait to show our travel partners the treasure of travelling by rail with Railbookers, as we are the one-stop shop for tailor-made rail vacations.”
RBG is seeing record growth in the Canadian market, with revenue up more than 81% over the same point in 2023. The company has seen 58% jumps in passenger and booking counts as well, with the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Italy leading the way among top destinations in 2024. Canadians are also taking advantage of Railbookers’ domestic offerings, with trips combining VIA Rail Canada and the luxury of Rocky Mountaineer high among the top-booked itineraries.
“Our mission at Railbookers is to make it easy, convenient and lucrative for travel agents to work with rail as a product category,” added David. “Many agents in Canada now turn to us as their go-to supplier for FIT bookings that include rail as a part of the itinerary, knowing that they will receive expert rail advice, an instant quote, excellent commission with no NCFs and the unprecedented ability to book and confirm rail arrangements up to 24 months prior to travel. As a rail-specialist independent travel supplier, Railbookers addresses many common pain points for travel agents – this explains our meteoric growth and growing popularity in the Canadian market.”
