MEXICO CITY — La Colección Resorts has set its sights on February 2021 as the opening date of its highly anticipated Live Aqua Beach Resort Punta Cana.
As the first Live Aqua property outside of Mexico for Posadas, Mexico’s leading hotelier, the 347-suite resort will open its doors with Posadas’ ‘Travel with Confidence’ program in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests. The program, which includes distancing measures, health checks, revisions to food & beverage and housekeeping, and enhanced cleaning using 3M hospital-grade products, has already been successfully implemented at over 180 hotels across Mexico.

Upon opening on the northern shores of Uvero Alto, just 20 minutes from the Punta Cana International Airport, the new resort will feature Zen gardens, relaxation zones, fountains and grand waterfalls. Suites will be available in seven categories, the most exclusive being select Junior Suites featuring swim-up access from main swimming pools. Other suites will offer complete exclusivity with private swimming pools and terraces, while all suites will come with fully-equipped bathrooms with soaking tubs, interactive flatscreen televisions, espresso machines, aromatherapy and pillow menus.
In total, Live Aqua Beach Resort Punta Cana will boast over 96,000 square feet of pools, including an infinity pool. The brand’s signature Feel Harmony Spa will offer a variety of treatments and water circuits, and a state-of-the-art fitness centre will have dedicated fitness rooms for classes such as spinning, yoga and more.

As for dining, renowned Mexican chef Gerardo Rivera will spearhead international concepts for seven on-site restaurants ranging from casual beachfront to fine dining. There’ll also be daily lineups of entertainment nearly 10,000 square feet of flexible function space and outdoor spaces suitable for a variety of celebratory events.
