TORONTO — Porter Escapes, the leisure arm of Porter Airlines, has teamed up with the National Hockey League to offer tickets to the 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series game set for March 1, 2014, at Soldier Field in Chicago as part of Porter Escapes packages.
Public ticket sales for this outdoor game between Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks resulted in a sell-out within 24 hours, but Canadian hockey lovers don’t have to miss out.
Commissionable Porter Escapes packages featuring flights from any Porter Canadian gateway, game tickets and one, two, three or four nights at select Starwood Hotels properties are now available.
There are three levels of ticket packages and several hotel choices. Prices start at $570 per person for a two-night stay, plus taxes, and packages are limited.
Porter offers up to five daily flights to Chicago Midway International Airport in the winter season.
“Working with the NHL to offer the chance to attend the 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series game in Chicago is something we are very excited about doing for Canadian hockey fans,” said John Kirk, director of vacations and packaged products for Porter Escapes. “This will be a special experience for everyone who attends.”
