Porter adds seasonal roundtrip service from Montreal to L.A. and San Francisco

Porter adds San Diego and Palm Springs to route network

TORONTO — Porter Airlines has announced new nonstop flights this winter season from Toronto to Southern California.

Starting Dec. 9, year-round service from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to San Diego International Airport (SAN) will fly four times a week, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Also new this winter from YYZ is Palm Springs winter seasonal service, starting Dec. 12 with three weekly flights on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

“Adding these two Southern California centres to our network means there are new options for passengers to enjoy Porter’s genuine onboard hospitality when planning their trips. Our presence across the continent continues to grow, with a network of flights that provides real competitive choices for travellers,” said Kevin Jackson, president of Porter Airlines.

Both routes will be operated with the brand new Embraer E195-E2 featuring a two-by-two configuration, meaning there are no middle seats. The 132-seat aircraft is also equipped with fast and free Wi-Fi for all passengers. Priority check-in and boarding, extra legroom seats, premium pre-mixed cocktails and fresh meals are also available with the all-inclusive PorterReserve fares, or may be purchased à la carte with PorterClassic fares.

Passengers can also enjoy seamless connections with Porter’s airline partners. They can travel onwards to Europe through YYZ with Air Transat, or explore the Western U.S. through San Diego and Palm Springs by connecting on Alaska Airlines.

Porter now serves four California cities nonstop from Toronto Pearson: Los Angeles, Palm Springs, San Diego and San Francisco.
