TORONTO — Planet Hollywood Beach Resort Cancun has a new opening date, now scheduled for Dec. 15, 2020.

The brand new resort is a key property in Sunwing Travel Group’s partnership with Planet Hollywood, announced in early 2018.

Planet Hollywood Beach Resort Cancun will offer a full range of amenities for families, plus the beachfront resort will be the first Planet Hollywood property to debut Adult Scene, a new adults-only ‘resort-within-a-resort’ concept.

New details about Adult Scene position the new adults-only space as a resort-within-a-resort concept for guests 18+, with 332 suites with top-level amenities including hand-crafted Phabulous Beds, ceiling-mounted rain showers and state-of-the-art technology. Adult Scene will also have its own private beachfront and pool area, complete with a swim-up bar and waiter service, in addition to two specialty restaurants reserved exclusively for Adult Scene guests: the Braza Grill & Churrascaria and Catch Seafood and Grill.

With a prime location in Costa Mujeres, the new all-inclusive Planet Hollywood Beach Resort Cancun will have 898 luxury suites and 11 restaurants plus wellness features, curated entertainment-themed experiences and, in keeping with Planet Hollywood’s branding, authentic Hollywood memorabilia.

There are also four swimming pools, a lazy river, Shipwreck Cove and Jurassic Splash Park, FlowRider surf simulator, Labyrinth, a mini-golf course and a Planet Play Adventure Park. Meanwhile the Stars Kids Club offers supervised activities for younger guests, plus there’s a PH Teens Club.
