The Travel Industry Council of Ontario’s Board of Directors last week elected Jean Hébert as TICO Board Chair. Hébert has over 22 years of experience in the provincial and federal public administration at senior level positions such as Chief of Staff and Senior Policy Advisor in several departments including Treasury Board, Industry, Human Resources, Privy Council, Tourism and Regional Development. The appointment of Chair of the Board is for a three-year term. Hébert is one of five ministerial appointees on the Board and has served on the TICO Board since May of 2011. Hébert will assume the Chair position on Dec. 13, 2015. TICO’s current Board Chair Michael Janigan is Special Counsel, Consumer & Regulatory Affairs for the Public Interest Advocacy Centre (PIAC) in Ottawa and has served as TICO’s Board Chair since November 2010 and his term will expire on Dec. 12, 2015.
