David Connor, Area Managing Director, Eastern Canada, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and General Manager of Sheraton Centre Toronto, has named Michael Farquharson Hotel Manager. This marks his return to Toronto and Sheraton Centre Toronto after a number of senior hotel leadership positions in North America with Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

Farquharson joined Starwood in 2002 and has held a variety of leadership positions with the company in operations. He began his career with Starwood at Sheraton Gateway Hotel, Pearson International Airport as Front Office Manager in 2002. In 2004, he transitioned to Sheraton Centre Toronto, Starwood’s Canadian flagship hotel, as Director of Front Office. He transitioned to the Westin brand where he held the position of Director or Rooms for The Westin Waltham Boston and The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver. In his most recent role, he served as Director of Operations at W Atlanta Buckhead.
