TORONTO — Silk Holidays has announced the lucky winner of its ‘Japan Now’ contest, launched as part of its ‘Japan Now’ October road shows.

Karina Fong from Vision Travel in Calgary, Alberta has won a 12-day Japan grand tour for two, valued at $10,000. The prize also includes a pair of air tickets to Japan with Japan Airlines, seven days join-in ‘Essential Japan’ coach tour, and a four-day private tour to the Wakayama Prefecture.

Fong will visit Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka, Koyasan and Wakayama City, plus enjoy a hot springs visit and a temple stay.

The grand prize was sponsored by Japan Airlines, Europamundo Vacations, and Wakayama Tourism Division.

The ‘Japan Now – Discover the beauty of Wakayama’ road shows travelled through the west coast in late October. The series of presentations took place in victoria, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton, drawing hundreds of travel professionals who signed up to learn about Silk Holidays’ destinations and products.
