TORONTO — PATA is making a comeback in Canada and is launching next month with 27 Founding Members.
PATA Canada is designed to be the resource for Asia Pacific for the Canadian travel trade. “It will be membership based with retail agencies enjoying complimentary membership and suppliers paying annual membership dues of $250,” said Executive Director Barbara Dirnberger.
The PATA Canada Board for 2015-2016 is: President, Rocky Lo of Air Canada; Treasurer, Judi Pym of Centara Hotels and Resorts; Membership, Doug Vogl of Centricity and Programs, Sandra Ngoh-Fonseka of Tourism Malaysia.
PATA Canada will launch on April 22 in Markham at the Diamond Restaurant with the Founding Members in attendance. The PATA party will also offer the opportunity for agents living outside the Greater Toronto Area to join the celebration virtually.
Registration to attend will open in conjunction with the launch of PATA Canada’s website which will have a directory of airlines, cruise lines, tour operators and tourist boards that sell product to the Asia Pacific region.
