MINNEAPOLIS — Agents can win a US$25 gift card simply by participating in Host Agency Reviews’ third annual Fee Survey.

The survey, which provides insight into the travel industry’s fee charging practices, garners data on service and consultation fees among primarily home-based and independent travel advisors.

Last year, over 700 agents responded to the survey, providing crucial data on the breakdown of fee structures by comparing fees according to niche, region, years of experience and gender.

The survey will also target specific fee-charging practices, offering data on how much agents charge for specific booking and planning services. It will also aim to understand why some advisors choose not to charge fees.

According to Host Agency Reviews’ founder, Stephanie Lee, “Our annual survey helps take a pulse on the state of fees in the agent community. Participating helps the larger agency ecosystem by giving hard numbers on the percentage of agents charging fees, as well as what those fee structures look like.”
