Get ready for a show this New Year’s Eve! KapohoKine Adventures, a leading eco-adventure tour operator on Hawaii Island, is sponsoring Hilo Bay’s first-ever New Year’s Eve fireworks show, a free community event that is sure to usher in the New Year with a bang.

To commemorate the event, the company is offering the ‘New Year’s Paddle Out Experience’, beginning at 10:45 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Guests can choose from a single- or double-seat kayak, two-seat clear hull canoe or stand-up pedal board, which they will then use to raft up with a guide to enjoy the overhead pyrotechnics and a complimentary champagne toast.

This package is priced at US$89 plus tax, per person and includes equipment rental, guided paddle and champagne. It’s valid for Dec. 31, 2018 and is limited to 21 people.

The first annual Hilo Bay New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show is free and open to the public, and will begin at midnight and last 15 minutes.
