Opening December 2024: Viva Miches by Wyndham

MIAMI — The countdown is on for the grand opening of Viva Resorts by Wyndham’s newest resort, Viva Miches by Wyndham, a Trademark All-Inclusive Resort, on Dec. 11, 2024.

Located in the picturesque town of Miches, the brand new resort marks Viva Resorts by Wyndham’s ninth all-inclusive property in the Caribbean and sixth in the Dominican Republic.

The eco-conscious resort boasts 538 accommodations with garden, ocean and oceanfront views, some featuring private plunge pools, all designed with an earth-tone palette. Other highlights include five restaurants (one international buffet and four à la carte eateries offering Latin fusion, Asian specialties, Oceanic creations and Mediterranean fare); an expansive pool with swim-up bar; dance classes; nightly entertainment; a weekly craft market; Viva’s signature party program, Viva Vibe, and more. Guests can also sign up for whale-watching experiences and excursions to Los Haitises National Park, Laguna Limón and Montaña Redonda for its famous hilltop swings.

As part of Viva Resorts by Wyndham’s commitment to environmental stewardship, the resort also supports Protortuga, an organization dedicated to sea turtle conservation. Plus, through the Wyndham Green Program, Viva Miches will adhere to sustainable initiatives such as waste reduction, the implementation of solar power and the elimination of single-use plastics.

An initial investment of US$80 million was tapped for the first phase of the resort; a second phase will then bring the resort to approximately 750 rooms, totalling an investment of $130 million.

“Viva Miches represents a significant milestone for Viva Resorts by Wyndham,” says Dominique Colussi, vice president of development. “We are excited to expand even further and introduce this exceptional resort to travellers seeking an all-inclusive experience on an off-the-beaten-path paradise. This hidden jewel promises a magical escape for all.”
