Online tools to boost sales for Czechia, Hungary, Poland & Slovakia showcased at DCE

TORONTO — Discover Central Europe kicked off its North American roadshow in style last night, with networking, destination updates, education and, of course, delicious Central European bites and plenty of prizes, all at Universal Event Space in Vaughan.

More than 80 travel agents came out for the event, as well as some 20 suppliers. Discover Central Europe hosted the evening reception for travel trade representatives, DMOs and industry experts, with an eye to providing an immersive experience.

Discover Central Europe is comprised of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. All the DMOs were out in full force to showcase Central Europe’s vibrant culture while developing industry relationships and business opportunities.

The event was organized by Development Counsellors International on behalf of Discover Central Europe.

LIFT TO CENTRAL EUROPE

Connectivity to Central Europe from Canada is looking strong.

Air Canada’s relaunched seasonal summer service from YYZ to Prague starts June 6, 2025. Air Canada offers year-round service to all Central Europe destinations with its partnership with Lufthansa Group. Connections to Slovakia can be made via Vienna.

LOT’s network includes a range of flights from Toronto and more to Warsaw and beyond. Nonstop flights are available to/from Warsaw, Rzeszow and Krakow.

CENTRAL EUROPE LEARNING & SALES COMPANION

Last night’s event featured an extensive look at the Central Europe Learning & Sales Companion, ideal for any travel advisor looking to grow their sales to the region.

The online resource provides a complete training, marketing and sales platform purpose-built for travel advisors.

Meanwhile the Central Europe Specialist program is available online or as an app, and training progress made online is automatically synched to mobile devices when connected to WiFi. “You can train anywhere, anytime, even offline!” says DCE. More details are at CentralEuropeSpecialist.com.
