TORONTO — Okushu Tours is inviting Canadians to discover the ‘land of the morning calm’ with an immersive seven-day tour to South Korea.
Priced from $2,980 per person, twin/double room sharing, land only, the tour, says Lisa Lau, Managing Director, serves up all the ‘special Ks’, including K-beauty, K-wellness, K-culture, K-foodie, K-shopping and K-drama.
“We research and handpick all the tour activities to ensure they are interactive, enjoyable and a learning experience while creating cherished lifelong memories,” says Lau.
While on the tour, guests will learn the secrets of K-beauty during a makeup class and makeover in Seoul, meditate at the 14th-century Buddhist Jogyesa Temple, participate in a vegetarian cooking class at the Korean Temple Food Center, sip herbal tea at an authentic tea house, and enjoy spectacular views at the N Seoul Tower Observatory. They’ll also don a traditional Hanbok and tour Gyeongbokgung Palace to watch the changing of the Royal Guard, visit the 600-year-old Bukchon Hanok Village, Changdeokgung Palace and its Huwon Secret Garden, shop at Gwangjang Market, enjoy an herbal foot bath at Seoul K-Medi Center, participate in a Taekwondo class, relax like the locals do at a Korean bathhouse and sauna, and check out filming locations of popular K-dramas.
The South Korea tour includes six nights’ hotel accommodation in Seoul at the four-star Nine Tree Premier Insadong Hotel (or similar category); daily breakfast and one DIY lunch at the cooking class; services of an English-speaking tour director; arrival and departure airport transfers; all transportation in a private vehicle; and all sightseeing and entrance/admission fees.
A single supplement of $580 (just 20% more than the twin sharing rate) applies to solo travellers.
Okushu Tours offers smaller group sizes of a maximum of 16 guests, allowing for a more personal travel experience, as well as plenty of personal free time. Each tour includes handpicked activities and experiences for guests to choose from.
