RIVIERA MAYA — Ocean by H10 Hotels is getting ready to welcome its third property in Mexico, Ocean Riviera Paradise, set to open its doors officially Dec. 15 with 974 suites and junior suites as well as five pools (including one children’s pool) 9 restaurants, a great variety of activities, 13 bars, Mike’s Coffee and an Ice Cream Shop in an All Inclusive Experience.
In preparation for its debut the Quintana Roo property recently hosted a traditional Mayan ceremony. In a tranquil setting next to the seashore of the Mexican Caribbean, Mayan Priest Luis Nah welcomed a select group of guests and shared his wisdom.
The conservation of local flora was the key to respecting the environment, and Ocean by H10 Hotels relocating local greenery to create the beautiful gardens that frame the new five-star resort. A permanent plant nursery will be a fixture at all three Ocean by H10 Hotels properties.
“Before opening the doors to the public, the objective is to preserve the ancestral traditions of the Mayan Culture as well as to promote the importance of respect towards the locality where Ocean Riviera Paradise will soon start to operate, as well as where more than 10,000 endemic plants were rescued over a period of six years,” said Ocean Hotels by H10 Director of Operations, Alejandro González Pou.
Ocean by H10 Hotels was founded in 2007 as a joint venture between Spain-based H10 Hotels and Transat. The company currently operates resorts in Mexico, the D.R. and Cuba.
