MIAMI — Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda in Punta Cana has officially reopened following a temporary closure due to the global pandemic.
Located on Playa Bavaro, the 570-room resort started welcoming guests back on June 15 to enjoy its family-friendly services and amenities that include everything from sports facilities and watersports, to pools, the Bahia Spa and a nightlife village complete with clubs, bars and a casino. The resort is located within Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts’ Punta Cana complex, where Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana, Bahia Principe Fantasia Punta Cana and the adults-only Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar are already open. Guests of Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda can enjoy select facilities and restaurants found in its sister properties within the complex.
“At Bahia Principe, we know that travelers are currently looking for fun, memorable and most importantly, safe vacations, which we thrive on delivering, so that all family members can rejoice and fully enjoy following more than a year of restrictions,” said Helen Montijano, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the U.S. and Canada. “We are excited to reopen Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda as the property offers a stress-free, family-friendly vacation experience while taking into account everybody’s priorities, regardless of their age or taste.”
Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts has rigorous safety and hygiene measures in place at all its resorts, which were developed in collaboration with HS Consulting, international consultants specializing in the tourism industry. These include proper social distancing, increased cleaning and disinfection, continuous training, health checks, digitalizing experiences and more.
Grupo Piñero, parent company of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, announced this month a new campaign titled “We Are Ecocentric” which invites guests and stakeholders to actively pursue being eco-friendly. The campaign promotes the company’s efforts to conserve nature and shares tips and initiatives to allow others to become more aware of, and better protect, their surroundings.
