TORONTO — Save the date for TICO’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), set to take place on June 26 in Mississauga.

This year, TICO will be holding an election for one Retail, Wholesale or Marketing Group position on the TICO Board of Directors. A Nominations package will be sent to all registrants and is also available on TICO’s website, tico.ca.

Nominations must be received at TICO no later than 5:00 p.m. ET on April 20, 2018. Those wishing to run for election are reminded to allow for sufficient time to obtain the required Criminal Record Check, which must be submitted with the Nomination Form by the deadline date.

Ballots will be sent to Member Registrants and the results will be announced at the AGM.

“Industry representation on the Board of Directors remains an important governance role in support of TICO’s vision, mission and mandate,” said Richard Smart, TICO President and CEO. “I would like to encourage registrants who wish to participate on a dynamic Board to submit nomination forms. Following the passing of the new consumer protection legislation in December 2017, there remains an opportunity to contribute to a new regulation in support of this important legislation.”
