KYOTO, Japan – If there’s one toy from our childhood that brings out the kid in all of us, it’s Nintendo. With this in mind, Universal Parks & Resorts has announced the launch of three Nintendo-themed areas in three of its parks around the world: Osaka, Orlando and Hollywood.
The creative visionaries behind Nintendo’s legendary worlds and characters are working together with the creative teams behind Universal’s blockbuster theme park attractions to bring to life the characters of Nintendo video games within Universal Studios Japan, Universal Orlando Resort, and Universal Studios Hollywood. According to an official announcement, these will be highly themed filled with “multiple attractions, shops and restaurants.”
Each Universal theme park will announce details of its specific Nintendo areas. The first such announcement is expected shortly. Initial reports hint at gigantic piranha plants springing to life, question blocks and ‘power-ups’ and, of course, the presence of Mario and all his friends.
