TORONTO — Niche Travel Group is inviting other travel agencies to book into its fall 2024 AmaWaterways sailing featuring Canadian musicians Matt Andersen and Cory Tetford.
This isn’t the first time the Dartmouth, NS-based agency has opened up a full-charter sailing to other retailers. As owner Faith Sproule tells Travelweek: “It’s a win-win situation: their clients enjoy special savings and the chance to experience these fantastic cruises, the advisors earn a nice commission, and we fill our cabins.”
Commissions can range from $500 to $1,000 per cabin, she adds.
Sailing AmaWaterways’ ‘Enticing Douro’ itinerary onboard AmaWaterways’ AmaDouro in Portugal Oct. 26 – Nov. 2, the cruise will feature three exclusive shipboard concerts with Matt Andersen and Cory Tetford, both Atlantic Canadians. Anderson (from New Brunswick) and Tetford (from Newfoundland) now reside in Nova Scotia and tour extensively across North America and Europe. Andersen recently headlined the Halifax Jazz Festival.
Sproule says a handful of cabins are still available.
“Travel advisors from various agencies in the US and Canada have booked their clients on this sailing, and we truly appreciate the teamwork,” she says. “All payments go directly to AmaWaterways, ensuring that Niche Travel Group is not involved in payments and invoicing, and all client communication remains with the original advisor.”
She adds: “Collaboration among owners and advisors across different companies can be a new roadmap for success. By teaming up, we can share customized group travel experiences, creating amazing travel experiences for clients. This collaboration leads to unique opportunities, better savings, and higher commissions for everyone. Plus, it helps improve the overall quality of service in the industry, making it a win-win for all involved.”
