Disney Cruise Line updates guests about new vaccine policy for The Bahamas

PORT CANAVERAL — Disney Cruise Line is informing passengers sailing to The Bahamas about a new vaccination mandate, effective next month.

For sailings to The Bahamas beginning Sept. 3, 2021 until Nov. 1, 2021, the destination will require that all passengers ages 12 and older be fully vaccinated in order for a ship to be allowed entry into any of its cruise ports, including private islands like Disney Castaway Cay.

Disney Fantasy sailings will begin Sept. 11, 2021 with four-night cruises from Port Canaveral, Florida. Bookings are now open.

Disney Cruise Line kicked off its phased relaunch earlier this month with the three- and four-night itineraries aboard the Disney Dream. The cruise line hopes to begin sailing seven-night voyages and longer aboard the Disney Fantasy in October, pending conditions closer to that time.

During this initial restart phase, the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy will only visit Disney Castaway Cay, the company’s private island in The Bahamas. For more details click here.

Earlier this month, The Bahamas updated its entry protocols for all travellers and cruise passengers to include new testing requirements. Click here for more information.
