NEWTON SQUARE, PA — AMResorts says is making it easier for agents to make bookings through the AMRewards travel agent loyalty program, with a brand new online booking engine. Agents can redeem their AMRewards points for a stay at one of AMResorts’ 52 properties.
Agents can now check availability and make their reservations in real-time at AMResorts’ properties in Mexico, the Caribbean, Costa Rica and Panama.
Using the online booking engine, agents can also automatically check their available points and get quick confirmation times. One extra perk: agents no longer need a stay certificate to check in. AMResorts says it wants travel agents to see the resorts first-hand so they can sell more effectively.
“Since we launched AMRewards three years ago, every enhancement has been developed based on our travel agent community and advisory board’s valuable feedback,” said Jan LaPointe, Vice President of Strategic Planning Retail Sales North America, AMRewards and Sales & Marketing for Canada. “This booking engine gives agents the power to book all on their own, using an online platform available 24/7.”
Designed with the goal of providing agents with tools to help boost their selling capabilities, the AMRewards program is consistently reviewed and enhanced to support continued growth and ensure satisfaction, she adds.
The program allows agents to earn points with each booking that can be used for co-branded marketing materials, such as banner displays and gift vouchers clients can use toward perks, like spa treatments or romantic dinners, at AMResorts properties.
Since its 2014 launch more than 29,000 travel agents have registered to join AMRewards, and over US$17 million worth of points have been awarded to date. More information is at AMRewards.com.
