New details about Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas, coming in August 2025

MIAMI — Royal Caribbean International is preparing to make waves with its latest ship, the Star of the Seas, set to launch in August 2025.

As the newest addition to the Icon Class lineup, Star of the Seas will bring a wealth of innovative features and thrilling activities designed to captivate travellers of all ages.

Among the highlights is the Lincoln Park Supper Club, a 1930s Chicago-inspired dining experience that pairs live entertainment with gourmet courses. For thrill-seekers, the ship offers Category 6, the first waterpark at sea, featuring six record-breaking waterslides, including a 154-foot-high skywalk-thrill ride, Crown’s Edge.

Families will find a haven in the Surfside neighborhood, specially designed for young travellers. Here, children can enjoy Splashaway Bay and Baby Bay, while parents relax at nearby Water’s Edge pool. The adults-only Hideaway provides a secluded retreat, boasting one of only two suspended infinity pools at sea, complete with a DJ and stunning ocean views.

The Star of the Seas is not just a ship; it’s a floating city divided into eight neighborhoods, each offering a unique blend of activities, dining, and entertainment. Highlights include:

  • Thrill Island: Home to Category 6 and the FlowRider surf simulator
  • Chill Island: A paradise featuring four pools, including the largest pool at sea, Royal Bay, and the swim-up bar, Swim & Tonic
  • AquaDome: A peaceful retreat by day, transforming into a vibrant entertainment venue at night with wraparound ocean views and awe-inspiring performances at the AquaTheater.

Starting from Port Canaveral, the Star of the Seas will offer a variety of seven-night Caribbean itineraries, giving travellers access to world-class destinations like Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas.

Star is also joining the newly debuted, Oasis Class-Utopia of the Seas when it arrives in Port Canaveral. By next summer, travellers can have their pick between a week-long Caribbean vacation, a three-night weekend or four-night weekday getaway to The Bahamas.

Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas is now open for booking.
