NCL opens the books on winter 2022-23 cruises

NCLH extends suspension of voyages, NCL opens registration for agent event

MIAMI — Passengers of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings will have to wait a while longer to board its ships as the company has once again extended is suspension of voyages.

The suspension, which was previously extended to include all voyages embarking between Dec. 1-31, now includes the following:

  • All voyages on Norwegian Cruise Line embarking between Jan. 1 through Feb. 28 and select voyages in March 2021
  • All voyages on Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises embarking between Jan. 1 through March 31, 2021

Guests who are currently booked on cancelled voyages on Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises or Regent Seven Seas Cruises are being asked to contact their travel advisor or the cruise line directly for more information.

The company continues to work on its return to service plan to meet the requirements of the CDC’s new Framework for Conditional Sailing Order, which was announced on Oct. 30. It is working in tandem with global government and public health authorities, as well as its Healthy Sail Panel expert advisors to take all necessary safety measures.

Though operations have yet to resume, Norwegian Cruise Line is encouraging travel advisors to stay engaged and informed during its upcoming ‘Week of You’ series. Taking place from Dec. 7-11, the complimentary series will provide travel advisors with access to exclusive content as well as allow them to engage with NCL executives ahead of the brand’s upcoming return to cruise.

A-list lifestyle experts and business leaders will be conducting various lifestyle and educational workshops. Experts include ‘The New York Times’ best-selling author and purpose coach Jay Shetty, ‘Queer Eye’s’ design guru Bobby Berk, award-winning winemaker and NCL partner Michael Mondavi, Karrikins Group founder Peter Sheahan, Facebook’s Head of Travel Colleen Coulter, and best-selling author Jill Schiefelbein. Topics discussed will range from tips on how to establish healthy mental well-being, to DIY home office makeovers and leveraging social media platforms to grow sales.

Participants will also further their knowledge on the NCL guest experience and product offerings with group sales, upcoming promotions, highlighted itineraries and more. Advisors are invited to sign up to attend the Metro Meeting that accommodates their region and time zone.

Travel advisors are encouraged to review each workshop completed for a chance to win a commemorative gift. Plus, for every session attended, participants will be entered into a draw for a seven-day cruise. The more sessions they participate in, the greater their chances of winning.

The five-day event will close with a performance of the Tony Award-winning ‘Million Dollar Quartet’, which is featured on Norwegian Getaway.

Harry Sommer, NCL’s president, chief executive officer and a former travel advisor himself, said that the event is designed specifically to support travel advisors.

“With ‘Week of You’ we took a vested approach to go beyond conventional thinking and methods to really provide our travel partners with actionable takeaways that they can use to not only better their business, but themselves as well,” he said. “As I’ve said before, we are in this together, and together we will overcome the challenges from this historical year and soon deliver the vacation dreams our guests have been long waiting for.”
