TORONTO – Guests who enjoy drinking aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines should be aware that the company is increasing the cost of its beverage packages. USA Today reports that NCL has raised prices for its Ultimate Beverage Package just shy of 15%, going from US$69 per person, per day to $79 per person, per day.
Factor in a mandatory 18% service charge and the total cost for two passengers who would like to enjoy the Ultimate Beverage Package over the course of a seven-night cruise will now cost more than $1,300.
NCL has also increased the Corks and Caps drinks package by almost 10%, as well as increased the prices of Specialty Dining Packages by $10 per person, per day.
The new pricing has already taken effect on nine of NCL’s vessels, with three new ships – the Norwegian Gem, Norwegian Pearl and Norwegian Epic – to follow suit over the coming week.
