MSC Cruises sells Cuba cruise through range of Canadian operators

GENEVA — MSC Cruises will be making its recently-announced Cuba cruises available through a range of Canadian tour operators.

The line announced last month that, starting in December 2015, its 2,120-guest MSC Opera will homeport in Havana for the winter 2015-16 season to offer guests 16 Caribbean cruises.

MSC Cruises will give cruise travellers from Canada and around the world a chance to get aboard the completely renovated 65,542 GRT MSC Opera, part of the Company’s 200 million euro Renaissance program, and cruise to Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Mexico with two nights and two and a half days in the Cuban capital.

Specifically for Canadian guests, various flight offers from a range of Canadian cities will allow them to enjoy the Caribbean island with several embarkation ports.

MSC Cruises’ Canadian guests will be able to embark in Havana on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and embark in Montego Bay, with Air Canada Vacations, Encore Cruises, Jolivac, Oceana Tours, Sunwing Vacations and Transat Holidays.

Flights will be offered from Toronto to Havana, Varadero and Montego Bay; from Montreal to Varadero and Montego Bay, and from Ottawa, Quebec City, Winnipeg and Halifax to Varadero.

These cruises are available to residents of Canada and can be purchased through any registered Canadian travel agency.

The first cruise will start from Havana on Dec. 22 2015, following MSC Opera’s Grand Voyage to Cuba from Genoa, departing on Dec. 2.
