Mr Porter's House Party

Mr. Porter’s House Party, Toronto-edition, is a high-flying success

TORONTO— A transformative year calls for a heck of a party, and that’s just what Porter Airlines hosted last night with the Toronto version of Mr. Porter’s House Party.

Travel industry professionals mixed with locals, influencers and house-music enthusiasts for the big event, held at Evergreen Brickworks.

The evening kicked off with a meet and greet session followed by a two-hour set with UK DJ and producer Marsh that electrified the crowd and kept them dancing ‘till the end.

The Toronto get-together was a follow-up to a similar event in Vancouver this past summer. The Vancouver event aimed to introduce the brand to the Western market on the heels of service starting between YYZ and YVR.

That route has been proving immensely successful, but this night had an emphasis closer to home.

Porter has certainly been staking its claim in new markets lately, with emphasis for the evening on the ease of travelling with Porter within the network from Toronto Pearson and Ottawa.

After starting flights from Billy Bishop Airport 17 years ago, the airline is proud to now be also providing service from Pearson, an accomplishment certainly worthy of the evening’s celebration.

Flights from Pearson aboard the Embraer E195-E2 have been “redefining passenger expectations,” according to the airline.

“Not to be overlooked, we have 10 new destinations out of Ottawa this year,” said Kevin Jackson, EVP & CCO of Porter, who was in attendance for the evening answering questions and engaging the crowd.

Porter just recently began flights to Tampa and Fort Myers, with service to Las Vegas beginning early next year.

Attendees at last night’s event were treated to the same elevated economy experience Porter offers onboard its aircraft, with complimentary beer, wine and premium Canadian snacks, as well as fresh, healthy meals, and fast, free streaming WiFi. “We’re going to immerse the city in Porter’s style, care and charm,” said the airline, and they delivered on time and in comfort as per usual.

Porter also took advantage of the occasion to showcase their new meals that are part of its revamped onboard menu. All food and beverage partners on the new menu are Canadian.
