More choice & flexibility with Air Transat’s winter 2018-2019 program

MONTREAL — There’s more Sun and more Europe with Air Transat’s newly announced flight program for winter 2018-2019, and a return to both St. Maarten and San Juan.

For the winter season, passengers will have a choice of 34 Sun destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America as well as Florida, plus a wide selection of European cities, which the airline says are “increasingly appreciated by Canadians during the winter season”.

Moreover, Air Transat is bringing back flights from Toronto and Montreal to St. Maarten and San Juan, Puerto Rico, both of which are embarkation ports for Transat’s all-in-one cruise packages.

“As the Canadian leader in holiday travel, Air Transat continually strives to offer travellers more destinations and more flexibility, which is why we are significantly boosting frequency on our domestic routes, the vast majority of which will allow travellers to make connections to a larger number of South and Europe destinations,” said Annick Guérard, Chief Operating Officer, Transat.

Guérard also noted that winter 2018-2019 marks the start of a “transitional period” in Air Transat’s operations, which namely includes its fleet upgrades that will be gradually introduced this winter with the shorter-range Airbus A321s, and then later in May 2019 the newer A321neo LR. Once completed, these changes will mean “an even better-performing Air Transat fleet”, she said.

Here is an overview of Air Transat’s Sun flights for winter 2018-2019:

  • Extra flights to Cancun, Mexico will be added, departing from Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Hamilton, Montreal and Quebec City
  • Daily connections from Vancouver to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
  • More flights to Puerto Vallarta from Edmonton

  • In response to growing demand, Air Transat has added more direct flights from Toronto to San Jose and Liberia in Costa Rica
  • More direct flights from Montreal to Cartagena, Colombia, and Fort-de-France, Martinique

And to Europe:

  • Increased capacity on Malaga, Spain route out of Montreal, with easy connections in Faro
  • Air Transat continues to offer its popular daily direct flights from Montreal to Paris, and from Toronto to London, U.K., as well as frequent flights to Manchester and Glasgow

Domestic and connecting flights:
