Mexico’s top dignitaries help inaugurate The Grand at Moon Palace Cancun

CANCUN — Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto was on hand to officially open The Grand at Moon Palace Cancun, a brand new, five-star, all-inclusive resort that’s being hailed by dignitaries and company executives as the new luxury standard in Mexico.

On May 25, Palace Resorts hosted an inaugural ceremony with Nieto and other government officials in attendance. The event also included property tours, live entertainment and an impressive meal prepared by Executive Chef Ricardo Cabeze.

“The Grand at Moon Palace Cancun is without a doubt our most unbelievable project yet. Palace Resorts envisioned a property that would truly take luxury, convenience and entertainment and upscale culinary dining and combine it to surpass any traditional, luxury all-inclusive around,” said Gibran Chapur, Executive Vice President of Palace Resorts. “Launching this ambitious undertaking would not have been possible without the endorsement of Mexican President, Enrique Pena Nieto and other government officials and entities including our valued partners.”

Located within the brand’s signature property, AAA Four Diamond Moon Palace Cancun, The Grand offers 1,300 luxurious guestrooms, eight new dining destinations, nine outdoor pools including two adults-only pools, 80,000 square feet of meeting and event space, bowling alley, waterpark, lazy river, eight bars and lounges, two nightclubs, kids playroom, and a new 76,875 square-foot Awe-Spa featuring more than 60 spa suites. Plus, as a bonus for families, kids and teens stay free at The Grand.

All-inclusive rates at The Grand at Moon Palace Cancun start at US$295 per person, per night, double occupancy.
