RIVIERA NAYARIT — Hilton’s very first Conrad resort in Mexico has officially opened its doors to guests following a delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Originally slated to open on May 5, the new-build Conrad Punta de Mita opened for the first time on Sept. 1 with 324 guestrooms and suites, multiple restaurants and bars, three pools and an expansive spa, all situated on a long stretch of sandy beach in Punta de Mita.
“As one of Mexico’s most sought-after destinations, Punta de Mita is the perfect location for the newest addition to our luxury portfolio in the region, and we can’t wait for our guests to discover the inspired experiences that await at Conrad Punta de Mita,” said Jorge Giannattasio, Hilton’s seinor vice president and head of operations, Caribbean & Latin America. “The opening of Conrad Punta de Mita marks and important milestone for Hilton, as we bring Conrad-level style, service and experiences to the shores of Riviera Nayarit.”
Here is an overview of the new resort:
ACCOMMODATIONS
To ensure less crowding, the resort has opened with a selection of 324 guestrooms and suites. For those seeking even more seclusion and exclusivity, particularly for those travelling in small groups, villa-like ‘Casas that combine guestrooms and suites are also available, some featuring large patios, plunge pools, freestanding soaking tubs and outdoor showers.
The resort is also rolling out Hilton CleanStay, the company’s standard of cleanliness and disinfection in properties around the world.
AMENITIES & EXPERIENCES
On site, guests will find three expansive pools, a sandy beach, and an outdoor fitness lawn for yoga and stretching. They also have access to the Litibu Golf Course as well as experiential visits to a local fish market. The Conrad SPA, spread across 10,000 square feet, offers a unique indoor/outdoor design complete with seven cocoon treatment cabanas and the first-ever traditional Temazcal in a Hilton property.
DINING
Four restaurant and three bar concepts offer menus and experiences that pay tribute to age-old techniques. Upon arrival guests will enjoy a traditional ‘Raicilla’-based welcome drink at TUKI, the resort’s lobby bar. MEZQUITE is where to go for a casual lunch, while debuting in the fall will be specialty restaurant CODEX, featuring traditional Mexican fare with locally sourced ingredients. Here, guests will be able to enjoy the seasonal Full Moon Experience complete with a SICIRI menu curated by the phases of the moon, on-property mezcal tasting, and discussions with a local farmer on the health benefits of their crops and herbs used to prepare the meal.
