THORNHILL — A former WestJetter is switching gears and moving to CAA South Central Ontario as its new Travel Product Manager.

Matthew Djorsev has been appointed Manager, Travel Product Development and Relationship Management for CAA Club Group (CCG), and will oversee supplier and industry relations as well as work with travel partners to grow sales and create stronger partnerships for agents across CCG.

Last year, CCG’s travel division experienced its third consecutive year of double-digit growth, with sales of more than $150 million. Djorsev is expected to maintain this momentum through sales and marketing activities.

Prior to his new role, Djorsev was responsible for growing agency sales for both WestJet Airlines and WestJet Vacations. According to CAA, his industry experience and strong partner relationships will be instrumental in developing new and innovative products to enhance the member experience for CAA Club Group’s 2.2+ million members.

On joining the company, Djorsev said: “CAA is one of the most trusted brands in Canada and has an incredible team of people working in the travel division. I’m looking forward to growing and building CAA’s extensive travel presence alongside partners and agents across the territory.”

Djorsev will be based out of the head office in Ontario, where he’ll be responsible for travel product across Manitoba and South Central Ontario.
