HALIFAX — Maritime Travel has been recognized as a Mercer Best Employer Canada for 2024.

Mercer’s annual assessment identified Maritime Travel as excelling across critical people factors including employee engagement and the organization’s agility, leadership and talent focus.

The award recognizes organizations that have transformed their people practices to drive better business results. Part of Mercer’s measurements involved an independent survey of all Maritime Travel employees.

Maritime Travel has been in business since 1949 and is one of Canada’s largest independent travel agency chains. Based in Halifax, with 95 locations coast to coast, the company employs 400+ travel agents.

Maritime Travel was also recently named a Platinum Club winner of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for 2024. Prior to that, it has been named one of Canada’s Best Managed companies every year since 1998.
