TORONTO — Manulife has promoted Jennifer Waver to AVP, Head of Distribution for Travel Insurance.

The move took effect Sept. 1.

In her new role Waver will be responsible for strengthening existing client relationships and spearheading the continued successful growth of all Manulife Individual travel insurance sales distribution channels, including retail travel industry distribution, broker sales and Affinity Sponsored Markets channels.

Waver is no stranger to the travel industry, or to Manulife, with 25+ years of travel insurance experience. She built and led Manulife’s National Sales Team in the retail travel channel, leading to many industry awards for Manulife.

Manulife has also announced that Shelley Kopys has been named Director, Travel Insurance Distribution, and will lead the Client Management team for retail travel agency insurance at Manulife.

Kopys also has 25+ years of expertise in this channel. She will be responsible for the overall Client Management of the retail travel agency channel. She will also continue to manage specific accounts in a senior capacity.
