PUNTA CANA — Grupo Piñero is showing off the newly renovated Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar with brand new images, just as the upscale adults-only property marks its official grand opening.
Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar reopened in November 2018 but got its gala opening this week during the D.R.’s DATE travel show in Punta Cana.
Grupo Piñero invested more than US$26 million to renovate the five star, 528-room beachfront resort, adding swim-up suites, revamped restaurants as well as a sports bar and fitness centre. Both are also open to guests of Grand Bahia Principe Aquamarine, the second adults-only property within the brand’s seven-hotel Bavaro complex.
In its first few months of operation, the property has maintained 94% occupancy with a significant increase in guest satisfaction.
On the Global Reputation Index (GRI), a global index that scores online reputation, Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar has registered at 91% and its Net Promoter Score (NPS), an index ranging from 1 to 100 that measures a customer’s willingness to recommend a product or service to others, stands at 51%. These figures, which represent a significant increase over the past winter season, help solidify the success of the property’s renovation, says Grupo Piñero.
“We are extremely satisfied with the results Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar has obtained in the five months since its reopening and are pleased not only with its economic performance but also the significant increase we are seeing in our guest satisfaction ratios,” says Lluisa Salord, Corporate Commercial Director for Grupo Piñero. “Guest satisfaction is what motivates us to invest in our product with the firm objective of continuing to make our guests happy. We have high expectations for the remainder of 2019, to continue to build on our satisfaction scores, and expect it to be an extraordinary year for our new hotel.”
The DATE gala party, divided into six events, featured some of the entertainment the brand’s ‘Escape Experience’ hotels offer, including a burlesque show, rock show and silent disco. Escape Experience also features a heightened culinary offer that brings together the latest trends in gastronomy and mixology as part of the all-inclusive concept.
